Oh okay, I see how it is, some super secret part not listed in any catalogue.... I can wait, then I'll show you all!!

I'm not familiar with the "foamy things". I use padded cradles.

This might help

Maybe I didn't explain it right.

When the boat is sitting on the Cat Trax, the stern's/bow's are resting on foam blocks molded to the hulls with straps that go over the top of the hulls to keep them secure. Not foam on the Cat trax themselves.

Seeee these things are so secret I can't even explain them right.

Pool noodles... or nice custom cut foamies, or pool noodles cut to length with bungies and sister clips. Some of the F18s have some sweet looking cuts of foam that look like the foam toe protectors that girls use when painting their toe nails.

Tmason,

Most of pads like you are talking about are improvised. I've never seen store bought ones under a Hobie. Moncasta is right on track with the foam pool noodles.

Another thought is to buy a couple of boat bumpers (typically used to keep boats from chaffing against boat docks), and tie a thick shock cord to each end to secure around the top of the hulls.

I've seen those custom fit things on some other boats. I'm sure they're relatively expensive and the improvised stuff we've talked about here will do just as well for a fraction of the cost.
