Post subject:  Rudder Rake
Need some advice on rudder rake adjustments; I have "major league" lee helm (worst on port tack) and have adjusted the screws as far back(aft) as mechanically possible and have adjusted mast rake from 4 up, to all the way down on the shroud adjuster. Only thing not tried is swapping the rudder blades-have swapped the daggers. :? Strangely it is mostly to the right and takes 2 hands to resist it going down wind on port tack. Rudder toe-in is zero. The rudders are parallel when viewed from the side and the hulls have equal diagonals and are parallel. A line drawn from the transom down thru the blades intersects 3/4" aft of the leading edge about 5" from the bottom. The blades are in very good shape and are symetrical(no flat spots). Do I fill and redrill the holes or what? :(

When you adjusted the screws in the lower castings did you also move the pieces inside the upper tiller castings that latch on the cams? The angle won't change unless you adjust both.

The latch plates have been adjusted for each positioning of the stop screw

Something is not right. Do you have a chainplate adjuster on top of your forestay? If not, this may solve your problem. You may need to buy new shrouds because the old ones you have sound too long. If your wires are this old, they should be replaced anyway.

My rudders are pulled under the boat so that the tips are in line with the transoms.

Also, if you have different tiller load on each tack, then your rudders are raked different or drilled different. Take them both off the boat and lay them on top of each other and see if the holes are the same. Mark them before you take them off. If you have good balence on one tack, then the leeward rudder is the one you want to measure off of since it is the loaded rudder.
