An updated 2007 schedule is now posted and NOR's are available through April. http://www.hobiedivision2.com/Schedule.html. Some noteworthy changes - We had initially tried to schedule a new points regatta in Mission Bay on Feb 17-18. There is a regatta then, the SCYA Midwinters out of Mission Bay Yacht Club. It's open to Hobies, but it's not an HCA-sanctioned event. They're expecting a good F18 turnout, and 16's are welcome. More info is at http://www.mbyc.org. The San Diego Classic date is still a little bit up in the air. We're currently looking into an alternate venue that would let us sail South Bay in June. If that doesn't work, the regatta will be back in October, which unfortunately conflicts with The 16 World's in Fiji. Expect a firm announcement in San Felipe. The San Felipe pre-reg deadline is January 27. Forms are here: http://members.cox.net/midwinterswest/prereg07.htm. We've also got two new regattas this year at Lake Mojave, a kiteboarding mecca with free camping and rumors of big wind. Please contact me with any questions or corrections. See you on the water! |
