I don't want to spend $10k+ right now to learn this platform. Would an older boat (6+ years old) that costs 7 or 8 grand be enough to get started on, or are the newer boats just too different for it to be cost-effective to fix/upgrade as skills and funds permit...?

What should I be looking out for? Is an older Tiger just not going to be worth the trouble?

Thanks for any insights...
