Thanks all for the help and advice. My conversion is done and the new rudders perform wonderfully.

If anyone needs pics just let me know I took pics for every step.

Sorry for being late to the party. I do not look at this forum enough. Glad everything worked out for you.

I drilled the extra holes and backed them with SS washers. Never had a failure, and they worked great! Hope you like the way they handle as much as I did.

Thanks yes they do handle much nicer. I used a small SS plate backed with washers and then the nuts. I also Sika flexed the plate and screws in place. Getting ready to give them the run down the ditch and see the long distance test.
