I knew twisting off the top was part of the design capability for the square top but mine never releases that effectively. Perhaps I need to apply more down-haul tension ? |

That Nacra mast snapped 18"-24" ABOVE the spreaders. I'd be more inclined to think a diamond wire failed due to excessive mast bend in the blow...looks to be a carbon mast. Ouch. |

According to the article on SA, the F17 stuck its mast in the mud and wasn't recovered until the next day. |
