Is there anything in the class rules for the tiger that states a minimum for Sail Area
What i mean is...if you have small F18sails for the Tiger built by Hobie EU is there anything in the rules that says you cannot sail them at a Tiger OD event?

Good question. My guess would be that it would not be a problem as long as the sails had the Hobie decal on them. Minimum weight would still be 309 as per the class rules. So I don't think you'd be very competitive as you don't get the advantage of a lower minimum weight as you do under the F18 rules. What do ya have in mind Tommy? I know where you can get some sails. |

I stand corrected. I posed the question to the IHCA rules committee and following is their reply: "Only the 4.15 m2 jib and the 21 m2 spi are legal for Hobie Tiger class racing." |
