Second hand spinnakers

After tearing my tiger spinnaker and the insurance company only going as far as repairing it I started looking for second hand spinnakers. Reluctant to fork out the stupid money that hobie are after for a new one. I started looking for second hand ones. As far as I could tell most people buy new ones after a few seasons, I thought there would be loads kicking around, aparently not? Do people just like to hold onto them? Anyway, fire me a PM if someone finds where they are all hiding

Nice to have a spare or two...just in case. Used ones are out there. Be vigilant and keep watching the for sale sections of catamaran forums. They do show up occassionally.

Retail $ on a brand spanking new one is $1,110.00 (that is pretty cheap compared to other spi out there for that size) & there haven't been any price increases for a long time.

We also have a couple of pre 'F18' cut spis (without patches) for %50 off - call a dealer and get a brand new spi - used ones will just be blown out - usually 1 or 2 seasons racing is all they will take, after that they are just practice sails - if you are racing - every other season, or every 'third' season a new spi is pretty much expected
