Hi All,

I switched my Tigers rigging from a furler type forestay to a fixed jib. Also I added a Cunningham for the jib, how long and how big should the halyard be? 3 mil spectra?

Thanks in advance!

3mm spectra will work. For the halyard length...use your old wire halyard as a gage and add couple of feet. This will give you enough to work with and make any necessary adjustments to your luff tensioner. You can continue to use your old, detachable part of the halyard.

Thanks JB, I realized that I could get the length by walking my butt down to the basement and unrolling my jib... Duh... But I still wasent sure about the size, I tend to buy line too large, then have to swap it out!

My halyard is about 1/8" to 3/32" thick (3mm?). There is not a lot of load on it...just want to get the wrinkles out. Obviously the foresaty takes all the load.
I picked my old Tiger's halyard up at West Marine...light gray in color.
Good luck.
