There are two "old style" Tiger tramps.

The oldest attaches to a slot in the hull on the sides.

The other one isn't attached to the hulls, but goes under the front x-bar.

The latest edition goes over top of the front x-bar.

Mine is the oldest then it goes into a slot on the hull sides so I guess to keep that set up i will need to have one made?

You can retro-fit the "Type II" tramp. It's a lot easier to get on and off. The one that threads into the track can be a bear.

This one require me to add the rivets to my rear beam and get the fiberglass rod?

You must have the original "Type 0" tramp. I've only seen one of those with a lacing strip in the rear.

Short answer is "yes" - you would need to use the studs/fiberglass rod to retrofit any of the other tramps.

Thanks Matt I emailed Hobie to see if they still have any of old tramps for sale if not I may see what the price difference would be to retrofit vs having SLO sailing make me one like the old one.

What did it run you? My 02 Tiger tramp is starting to tear at the halyard pocket :(

What mods did you do? Id like to have a few more grommets for control lines, mast rotation etc. Id love to see Picts when you get it!

I had SLO increase the pocket size, add the lacing grommets down the one side, put two more grommets by the mast base so I can run the downhaul lines under the tramp in the future. It was $310 add shipping and Teflon stitching it came to $370. I will post up some pictures this week I started to put it on yesterday but I didnt have any lacing rope to do the side but the front to back fit is perfect once I lace the side up it will fit nice & tight.

That sounds very reasonable, definitely shoot me a picture, I'm probably going to have them make me one too

Yes - we still offer the original style tramps, order from any Hobie Cat dealer (specify if it is the one piece or two piece) - the two piece entered a slot in the rear beam, the one piece was a later version that had the button on the rear beam and the fiberglass rod same as current style - but both have bolt rope in the sides of the tramp which slide into the inter graded tracks built into the hulls.

Current style tramps can be added - but it require the addition of hardware and the addition of the rear lace rod (which we don't have in stock)
The tramps however, we do carry.
