| Post subject: | Hobie Tiger Line Lengths |
Need some help. I just purchased a 2003 tiger and am getting ready to rig it for the first time. None of my line colors match what's in the manual. Does anyone know where I can find the line sizes and lengths for what location so I can match them up with what I have. I believe I've got extra line but that's just made it more difficult figuring out what goes where. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Congrats on the new (to you) boat. The Tiger is a blast, I love sailing it. I will tell you, there isnt much info out there about the line length. I've tried to decipher the part numbers and see if there's a size and length hidden in there, but not much makes sense. I just usually measure the boat itself , then buy a few extra few feet and trim it as needed. I also find that I buy line too big, buy the smallest size that will still work with your cleats and Vee blocks. Good luck! |

I measured a few lines before I sold my Tiger: Downhaul - 31.5' 1/4" (not sure if this was the original or the 16:1 cascade) Jib Sheet - 30'-38' 5/16" (length is personal preference) Spin Sheet - 58' 3/8" Main Sheet (8:1) 40.5' 3/8" Tack Line (separate) 15' 1/4" |
