Hello everyone, I have an old tiger, model of 1999 and I use it for club racing. Recently, I bought a new spinnaker, manufacturer is hobiecat, 21 sq.m which certificated F18 in 2009. Someone at my club told me that the new spinnakers have a different cut(shorter foot) and that the placement of the blocks for the spinnaker sheet must be further forward towards the front beam. In my tiger the blocks are just behind the daggerboards. Does anyone know if I have to move the blocks and exactly where to put them? |

They are just forward and inside the dagger pockets. |

Do you know what year the spin sheet blocks were moved forward? Thanks, Mark |

Mid year 2007. If your boat came with a furler they were old style block position. Without the furler it was new position. |

Was the spinnaker cut the same for both options, or did those getting the non-furler position also get a smaller-footed spinnaker? The reason I'm asking is that I have a mid-year 2007 with the spin sheet blocks mounted rearward, and wondered if I should move them forward, or if that would present a problem with the spin width. thanks, Mark |

You can always just rig up a tweaker block to pull the sheet down from the front beam to effectively change the angle of sheet - without having to change the block mounts into the beck - works the same |

Would you consider selling your old spinnaker? I am looking for a 19 m2 one. Thank you. |

I am trying to upgrade to the new style but the sail makers are asking me what the dimension of the new (short foot) style are. Does anyone have dimensions they are willing to share? |
