Going back to January 2012 when they were proposing 12:1 mainsheet and longer daggerboards they also mentioned making the main fuller and still being in the class rules. I have not seen anything since. Does anyone know what happened re this? Did they allow it? Did it actually improve anything? |

Current Wild Cat mainsails are slightly fuller and have been this way since about sail # 400 |

Hmm! Mine is 319. Does anyone know if it has any significant effect on performance? |

The main difference is in that marginal trapping conditions where you're just about to get on the trap - it gets the hull up slightly easier - but in super light - or full trap conditions there's little to no benefit. |
