Post subject:  Fully battened jib - bridle length?

I was putting our new Tiger together today - it came with the fully battened jib and no jib furler. When we fitted our old side shrouds on it we could not pin the bridles once the mast was up. We ended up having to add another shroud adjuster to the forestay (two in series) to get the bridles attached. We ended up pined about 3 or 4 holes up on this additional shroud adjuster to get the mast rake where we had it on the old boat.

So I'm wondering if either the forestay or the bridles are too short. The bridles now connect together in the middle - rather than being spaced apart by the jib furler. Perhaps the factory supplied the old length bridle wires. They measure 3' 11 3/16" (119.9 cm) each center to center.

Anyone else out there with the new jib set up have this problem? Anyone have the measurement on the new bridle wires - or are they supposed to be the same as the old ones?
