Full Battened Jib Upgrade

What parts do I need to order for the upgrade to a fully battened jib?

The new jibs are in the catalog - any Hobie dealer can get you one. At this point there isn't anything else you need to buy. If you wish to completely delete the furler drum and re-do the attachment of the bridle to forestay there is going to be a bunch of parts needed. So far we haven't been able to get a straight answer from Hobie Cat Europe regarding what these items would be and part numbers and pricing...

It would likely require all new rigging up front (same shrouds)

We have the fully batten jib in smoke and white colors. (these have been sold in the US since beginning of the year)

That's really great news. I had thought that I'd need to replace all the forward rigging. But if I can just get away with a sail change and keep the furler option available for playing around then I'll do that.

I got rid of the furler with 3 shackles and a piece of chain plate. I don't think it makes us go any faster but definitely makes the front look cleaner and much less stuff for the spi to get tangled around. I had all the parts floating around in the bottom of the sail box so the cost was bugger all

I got rid of the furler with a single pin, a 10-hole chainplate and a tiller connector yoke.

The setup came from Proust Sailing's web site.

I did the same, after trying the shackles - the pin approach is much tidier and sets the whole arrangement a bit lower too.
