The Briggs award recognizes an organization in the NW dedicated to promoting the fun, family lifestyle of boating. The award and grant will help provide scholarships for Sail Sand Point's low-income youth sailing program.
On behalf of the Sail Sand Point Board, I would like to thank the Northwest Multihull sailors that have helped support our programs this year. You have helped in many ways, including direct contributions, volunteer hours, instuction assistance on our Hobie 16 classes, Monday night races, and two Hobie Regattas, and as customers in our
Access/Storage area.
Our first Hobie Wave was donated by you, the NW Multihull Sailors. The second was donated by the Northwest Yacht Brokers Assoc. We now have six Waves in our program, plus six Hobie 16's, all donated.
