We did not race, however I want to add what Mike said, and tell you all what we saw and experienced in Kingston.
(We had booked a family holiday in Europe BEFORE I saw the NOR, and changing a bunch of airtickets etc was not do-able, otherwise we would have raced at CORK.)
On our return from Europe, as soon as we could, we drove the 210 km from Ottawa to Kingston, and 'visited' with so many of you on the lawns after Thursdays races. Although we'd never met in person, we know your names from the Hobie Forum, and from chatting on emails. We wanted to meet as many of you good people as we could. Our expectations were surpassed, and it was great to shake hands and shoot the breeze with Matt B, Megan B, Mark M, Sandra T, Tom K and family, Jim #335 G, Bruce & Bill from Carp, and others whose names escape me.
As we drove back to Ottawa that same evening, my wife, Laura, smiled and said how lucky we were to meet such 'sharing', sociable, and sportsmanlike folks. I wonder if I can talk her into attending Havamega?
