According to the list I've seen, there's only about 15 sailor registered for the Mid-Americas here in the DFW area for this weekend?!? Where are all you Texas Sailors? I'm 1 of 2 Hobie 16C class sailors, and I don't want to win out of 2 or come in second... LOL

Anywho, this is my first race... Any pointers? My crew and I are maybe 345lbs? Winds are going to be light, so whats the difference in mast rake regarding side stay adjusters? I've read mast rake can effect your speed and make you over powered or underpowered, however, I haven't been able to find anyone actually explain which gives you power, and which robs you of it...

Thanks All..
Aj

Most of the boats will wait to register on-site. Hopefully we'll have around 40-50 boats total.

As for pointers, you are more than welcome to look me up and I'll be glad to help you with your boat setup and introduce you to some of the other 16 sailors that are more knowledgeable than I.
