The hobie 16 N.A. champs are in 22ND place after 4 races at the Aust. Nationals. That is one tough fleet(not including notable absentees,Colby,Keag and Worral.)

I think the conditions are a little rougher than Armondo's used to. The Aussies race in stuff that we wouldn't even think about going out in.

The post was not intended to knock the N.A team.It was more a recognition of how talented the fleet is.There is at least 10 teams that have been top finishers in previos worlds events

I agree - it's a tough crowd. My point was that I think Armondo would be doing better if the conditions weren't as hairy.

I'm getting too old to wrestle with the boat when it blows that hard. My body reminds me for days that I not as young as I used to be.

 Matt, you are just a kid. I would have loved to have been there, except it was just too expensive. Just look at page 3 of the photo's http://gallery.sailmelbourne.com.au/smgallery/album68 Dan and Greg were having all the fun, and we were stuck back here in the cold.

I agree with you, Caleb. By the time I got the three of us there (no way wife and daughter would let Dad go to AUS by himself!), paid for a hotel, etc., etc. - that trip would have cost $15K (Ouch!)

I bought a Tiger instead. Now there's a boat that'll chew you up and spit you out!
