| Post subject: | pitting on edge of H16 Mast |
little pitted holes showing on the long side of the mast about 5' up from the luff entry point. largest at under 1/2 ".... four of them. they are a group that stretches over 4 to five inches. the "decay" has worn thru about 1/2 the wall thickness. should we go for it and wait and wonder, or.... look for a new or good condition used..... H16. in storage 9 yrs. almost ready to go, fully re- rigged.... need to know who has seen or has any experience with this pitting......any thoghts, experiences, opinions pls.... |
