Who's coming to the 2010 San Francisco NOOD Regatta. After the success of the San Diego NOOD Regatta we are stoked to have this one here in the bay. This is also listed as the West Coast F-18 Championships who's in?

on the fence. Basically waiting to see who else is coming, don't want to be the only ones. I agree that this is a great event that brings great exposure to the F18 class, the more boats we can get there the better. It would be great if we could all do the Ditch Run a few weeks before the NOOD event, leave our boats in the area between events. Any locals know the possibilities of this?

I'll ask around and see what I can dig up for boat storage.

Greg, I was at the Richmond Yacht Club yesterday and asked about short term boat storage at the club. The best way to go is to contact the Harbor Master and ask to make arrangements.

I think we should get at least 5 teams from Southern CA. I am planning on it. Others probably: Dennis with JW, Ian Sammis, Alex VB was interested.

For the Pacific Northwest we've got 7 confirmed, and talking smack.

We have a couple more on the fence or waiting confirmation of their kitchen passes.

you left coast guys have it all! I just competed in the NOODS Annapolis regatta and there were no classes that featured more than one hull. I'll have to lobby the race organizers to add a class here in the East.

Get a fleet together and file with the orginizer for a fleet. We have the division 4 guys to thank for this one. They made it happen in Seattle and it flowed down to San Diego and San Fran. Now as long as we Represent well we will make it that much easier. Also having someone like Jeremy at Surf City Catamarans volunteer to bring a fleet safety boat makes the orginizer feel all warm and fuzzy.

when you go to the regatta chair and say we have the boats for a fleet, we have our own safety boat, we have money, Can we race? They tend to say yes.

8-boats registered so far. At least 6 are Hobie Tigers.

The largest class registered at this stage. They like that too. Shows lots of interest. It gets you noticed, and you get good parking spots for the class.

Communicate with Valerie May, the event coordinator. You talk to her nice and you're likely to get in. Contact her directly via email as soon as the event dates go public.

Then say what you'll be able to do, and do what you said.

You'll be sure to get invited back the next year.

Division 4 - Seattle NOOD 2008,2009,2010
Division 3 - S.F. NOOD 2010
Division 2 - S.D. NOOD 2010

9 boats in the F-18 fleet now remember to pre reg soon. I think the 14th is the end of pre reg with out an extra $50. Your pre Reg fee includes dinner and party. Come on lets show those lead mines how fast boats sail the bay.

Greg and I would like to do this regatta - I think there are a couple teams that want to sail from SD too (that aren't registered yet either) We'll decide here soon - it would be good practice for us before we go race at the Worlds in EU the following week though....hmmmmm

There are three F18 teams coming from Vancouver, BC. One team is staying for another regatta in the area. Another is flying from SanFran to France for the worlds...then returning to Van thereafter. So pony up there JB and Greg. No excuses.
