We got out on the water yesterday about 11am and a HUGE storm kicked up outta nowhere and we all got stuck on the lake. 50ish boats out in the middle with 30+ winds and so much rain you couldn't see 50 feet. It was pretty eerie as when we looked back as we were slowly heading back to the beach, you couldn't see the other boats behind us, only the top 5 feet of their masts.

A couple of hours later we got 3 races in, results are not posted yet as there were some protests yesterday and the protest meeting lasted well into the night. Great welcome party at Docks on the Lake with nearly 150 people there.

Wind is supposed to be lighter today....

www.fleet10.com to see results later today. Hopefully the pics will be up too.

Any stories, tidbits or results would be good. The official site is pretty slim right now.

Organizers should understand (they had this issue at the F18 North Americans as well) that they do not have to wait for protest hearings to be complete before posting preliminary results. Better to get the info out for family and friends!

Chris,

Don't eat tonight, you're forecast for a floater tomorrow and what's up with the DNF?

Tell Jamie and Miss Quick, do not pay attention to anyone else "Just sail the Damn Boat!"

Good Luck to all and have fun!

Update for Tuesday as best as I can recollect.
This is what I do know, John and Tiffany Tomko are leading with Bev and Phil Collins right behind. There are alot of really good sailors here. Its amazing. You take you eye off the ball for even a second and 4 boats blast by you with no hope of catching up again.
Our first race was long, the wind was fluky and the threat of thunderstorms was looming. We ended up going in after the first one and had about a 3 hour wait until we all went back out for 2 heavy air races. A few wipe outs, lots of wind and some pretty awesome finishes.
John, the DNF was due to a broken rudder cam. We were at A mark and the boat was hard to control and we were close to the beach so we bailed.
Hey, were in 27th place!!
I am not looking forward to today as its supposed to be colder and windless.
I will let you all know how it goes.
