Thank for the tips. We had the Txas Dash yesterday along with the final leg of the GT300 and I came in 7th out of 23. First race and I was outclassed by every other boat. I had the only 16 foot boat on the water but still held my own. The weight forward was a great help. I had my GPS and as I moved forward, 220#, and sat on the forward beam we picked up 1-1.5 mph. We also popped up one rudder for a bit of help. It was light wind and we ran 7/10 mph for 40 miles. Long, hot day but great fun. Thanks for the tips!
