We have been given the option of 2 dates for the Ft Walton Beach NAC for the 16s and 20s Oct 3-7 2011 and Nov 7-11 2011 Your vote is very important! FWB organizers first choice is the Nov date, it will give them breathing room between ours and another event they are hosting. The weather difference is minimal (check the weather for the area right now as its a year from NOW) Its a little warmer in Oct and some have made plans for Oct as that is what we thought we were going with. The Oct date causes a conflict for the Pinata Regatta south of Tuscon That is all the facts I have. Polls will close NOV 10th so get out and VOTE!! |

Wanted to mention: According to windfinder: Oct will be 9 degrees warmer as an average and the wind will be 1mph better and the chances of wind are a little better too. |

I'd like to encourage everyone, if possible, to vote on the November date for the 2011 NACs. Many Hobie 16 and 20 sailors enjoy the annual warm water/no wet suit Pinata Regatta to be held in October. We can't change our date due to tides and scheduling. Many of us want to sail in the 26th annual Pinata Regatta (which is the Division 2 Championships) AND the 2011 NAC'S. Thank you from the bottom of our hulls . . . Tucson Hobie Fleet 514 |

Hi, Just a quick 2 cents.... The November dates fall during Veterans Day, which would mean a school day off for the kids. One less day to take them away from their classes...a VERY GOOD THING. Also, Thanks tons for asking our opinions! Excellent Class leadership! Mimi |

All, I vote for November in Ft Walton Beach, FL. This date works better with the existing Division 2 schedule. Thanks. Bill Feil |

POLLS ARE CLOSED: Officially- We'll be going with the NOVEMBER date, so make your plans accordingly. Not a great turnout on the vote, I have about a million people email me telling me their vote, but I can only vote ONCE on a poll like this. This date willl be posted to the HCA-NA site shortly and NOR and offical notices will be posted going forward. cw |
