Chris,

As a H18 sailor I didn't think it proper for me to vote on a issue concerning the H16 class .....

But a Nov date does help the Div11 schedule for next year .... as Oct have would conflict w/ RBSC's Sharky's Cup .....

FLEET 178 - Discussions with local community leaders and HOBIE Dealers, all considerations for this type of event would be: " OCTOBER "; this month has a government holiday = President's Day on Monday, 11 October 2011. Can't predict hurricanes. October will have plenty of available hotel spaces at reduced seasonal rates and tourist load will be less. Also, the water temperatures will still be warmer than later.

Would this event be better served to have it at Ramada on public beach (Gulf of Mexico) or through the local yacht club (premises restricted to members and their guests)? At a private yacht club, the local community leaders are somewhat reluctant to provide additional resources or extended support.

Thoughts and considerations.
