The Australian Hobie Nationals are being held between 30th December 2010 - 5th January 2011. In the HC16 Open Class we have three Open World Champions; Jerome Le Gal, Mick Butler and Gavin Colby. Jerome and Gavin are on the Limited Edition HC16's, they look great! Event web site is http://hobiecatnationals.com.au/ Cheers Steve |

Not only is there the long-term problem with fading (personal experience from owning a tangerine-colored boat in the mid-70's), as a principal race officer, I heartily encourage anyone with a red boat to be aggressive on the starting line. Go ahead, I dare you. I won't need to see your sail number to call you OCS. |

Gel coat in the 70's is far different from today Gels and the gels we use on these boats. If you look after the hulls, cover when not in use, then the boat will look good for ages. If you are OCS, then you are OCS. Who cares....... Some of the reds are: Jerome Le Gal - Current HC16 World Champion Gavin Colby - Former HC16 World Champion Tong Shing - Hong Kong Champion plus the entire Noumea Team..... Should be fun. Gav, the results will be on the event site, once racing is underway...easy as.. |
