I'd appreciate an opportunity to crew for someone at the 18 NAC's in Ocean Springs. I've been actively skippering and racing a 20 for the past three years and used to have an 18 back in the '80s. I don't need any help with expenses, I'll get my own room. My HCA membership is current. I'd like to secure a postion before I drive down there. Shoot me an email at [email protected] if you're interested or pass this along if you know someone looking for a crew. My cell number is (318) 458-5912.

I think you should find a 17 8) Are you going to race the 14?

Andy,

Unfortunately, I don't have enough leave to be gone for both the 18 and 14 NAC's, so I have to choose one. I think the experience of crewing on an 18 is more relevant to becoming a better 20 racer. My 14 is just a daysailer, I haven't even begun to study how to tweak it for racing. I've still got an old 5-batten sail and no trapeze. If I raced it, I'd be the guy at the back of the fleet the everybody else would be waiting on before the next race started.

Max is excited about crewing with Jake for the 16 youth event. I'm going to sail with him on his 16 a few times before they go down and get him whipped into shape. He's a great kid and does a great job for me on the 20.

I hope to find a ride and see you down there.

Hope you find a ride. I would like to see you down there. We will be down all week Jake and I will be racing 17's then all three of the kids will be racing in the youth event on three different boats. It should be fun to watch.

One month from now we'll be partying on the Gulf...

Hi Guys,

While your at the H18NAC/Youth NAC take a moment and talk to Mr Mark Santorelli .... who will be the PRO for the event .....

.... you see he will be the PRO for the Barneget Bay Junior Olympic Festival, July 24-26th, for the Junior Catamaran Class that will be hosted by Island Hieghts Yacht Club. The Junior Catamaran Class will compete on H16's .... Division 11 is supporting this event ... and there will be a limited number of "loaner" boats availible for Youth Teams that can not bring their own boats due to travel restrictions.

Please consider this event and let us now if we can provide support to help you attend ....

I'm still looking for an 18 to crew on. Let me know soon if you need me, otherwise, the wife will make other plans.

With the NACs right around the corner and no offers to crew on an 18 yet, I had no reason to turn down some work next week. I'm out for these NACs. If anyone needs a crew in the future for an event within a day's drive from NW Louisiana, don't hesitate to contact me. If available, I'll crew. I'll be taking my 20 down to Fort Walton in November, hope to see some of you there.
