Just getting started in the Hobie 16 b class.My question is do both skipper and crew need to be members of I H C A ? |

For Hobie regattas just the skipper needs to be a class member but for the North American Championships I believe that both skipper and crew need to be members. |

Technically, IHCA Rule 26 (Membership) requires one person (skipper or crew) to be a member in a sanctioned points regatta.In Regional (North American) and World Championships, all crew persons must be IHCA members. Does anyone have a link of where to join IHCA at? Do I also need to join US sailing assoc. too? or just one or the other? |

By joining the North American Class Assoc., you are automatically a member of the IHCA. You do not need to join US SAILING (United States Sailing Association) to race in sanctioned HCANA events, although we do encourage membership in that organization. |
