I just wanted to send out a big thank you to all involved..

I had a ton of fun and encourage any other new guys like myself to start hitting these regatta's. It is a bunch of fun and you will learn a lot while getting to meet some great people...

Thanks again guys.. I had a great time, and will be back again for sure...

I plan on making as many as I can.. Really trying to talk the wife into heading up to Clear Lake.. :D

And I am bringing my old beater boat.. I just need to find a comp tip mast to use.. probably redrill my epo's i have on the 18... Or something like that.. After I got home and started cleaning up my dads boat keeping in mind all of the things I had seen and heard over the weekend there is no doubt I will be faster next time for sure..

Besides being fairly heavy a number of tiny little problems added to to basically sailing around with the brakes on all day.. With dads boat needing a bottom job so bad we were probably losing some lift... and the side rails both somehow being bent down... Not being able to run enough rake due to the old 5:1 Seaway blocks which had a broken racheting gizmo making it very hard to fine tune the main in heavy air... Then the tiller nut was a little screwy all day... All those little things add up fast...

So much fun.... :D
