Note that Greg Thomas had to retire earlier in the week... while leading the event. His crew, Karen, took a blow to the head that knocked her out we are told. She is OK, but they could not continue the event. :(

I wanted to say thanks to all the racers who took time out of there day to explain the numerous setups, rigging and techniques I saw while walking around the beach before and after the races last week. It was awesome seeing all those Cat's rigged up and ready to sail each morning. Can't wait for the next chance to hang out on the beach utterly confused trying to make sense of what's going on out there in the water. The term "Herding Cat's" really is appropriate watching all those boats come together at the start of the race. Definitely gonna make it to the Mid-winters and with and with a little luck I may get to bring my own boat! Hope everyone had a safe trip back home and we'll see all of you soon I hope!

Cheers All!
Tom Mason
