Anyone up for a one hundred mile challenge along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Start in Muskegon, end in Bridgman.

September 2001 CRAM ran the Gold Coast 100. Article in Catamaran Sailor and Multi-Hull Magazine. St Joseph MI to Holland, Holland to Muskegon. 2 days. Saturday light wind, Sunday was windy and very rough. I was one of the persons that put it together. I still have all the information if you are interested.

You want an example of a distance race gone sideways, just check into the Steplechase thread on Catsailor.com. You need to get your ducks in a row or you're looking at significant liability exposure.
