I know I'm way early on this, but has anyone got any scoop on when and where the 2012 Mid-Winters, East and West, will be?

Nothing firm yet - we're working on Daytona for MWE, with Mississippi (SRYC, OSYC) as easy back-ups.

Haven't heard about MWW yet, but I suspect that it will end up at Lake Havasu again this year.

Can't go wrong with any of those.

We are set with OSYC as back up assuming we can't get another plan together for the east coast of Florida and then go to Mississippi in '13 for sure.

Did 2010 in Miss. Went to Lauderdale in 2011, only 18 to show up. Will go either place but my vote is the warmer Daytona. By the way, Steve did great by me. He really lives by the "Hobie Way Of Life. Thanx again Steve. Jim.

It's not official yet until the budget and written proposal are received from the Daytona fleet and approved by the HCA BOD - but they're working on it.

Date will probably be in early April.

Yea, hold your horses. Just getting started on it, so be patient. It looks good, but its NOT a done deal just yet.

It's being voted on by the HCA board right now.

So far, 8 votes in favor (that I know of), none against - out of 17 possible - so one more favorable vote and it's a done deal. I'd put my money on it being a done deal.

NOR is here - http://www.hcana.hobieclass.com/site/ho ... WE_NOR.pdf

The Area Championship for the West will be San Diego. Midwinters West will be Mohave. Mohave will not be the Area Championship. Mid Winters West is a title only.
