Post subject:  Totally and utterly HOOKED!!! Any fleet 111 members here?
I would like to know if there is anyone posting on here who is a member of fleet 111 in Jacksonville, Florida.

I manned the jib on a 16' Cat this last weekend in St. Augustine, and I have to say I am absolutely hooked on it!

I have some experience being a jib monkey on monohulls, but have never sailed a cat and would like to know more about getting into this, meeting ppl and perhaps joining in on a trip as a useful hand who can help with mast rigging, set up and help pay for the gas, if allowed to go..... I am as of right now saving up for a cat, but I want to be able to participate in trips if at all possible until I own one of my own.

I emailed the fleet 111 site and I am awaiting a reply. Meantime, is there anyone who has info on what else I would need to do?

MAN, I'm hooked!!! :D

(I guess they're all too busy sailing. Go down to the beach and make friends with the local cat sailors; they're usually looking for enthusiastic, reliable crew.)

i have not been able to raise the 111 fleet members, but i think there are some at the rudder club in jacksonville, gator bowl regatta this weekend, i will be out there on my hobie 16
