The University of Oklahoma
Sailing Team

Invites You To The

1st Annual Fundraiser Regatta
Haunted Hulls
October 27th, Lake Hefner, Oklahoma

Hosted By- OU Sailing Team

Location- Lake Hefner, Oklahoma City, OK; Hobie Beach; map on back.

Eligibility- If it floats, bring it out and help support college sailing. Even if you don’t have a boat, come eat and visit with us; we may even have a boat to put you on. It takes 3 of the same boat to make a class; otherwise boats will be handicapped in spin, non-spin, and multihull classes.

Regatta Fee- $30 for single handed; $40 for multiple. Extra meal tickets will be $10.

Description- The University of Oklahoma Sailing Team is hosting a regatta for all sailboats that would like to participate. We will set as many courses as needed and take care of scoring. We will have trophies for each class and a raffle with great gear to help us raise money for regatta fees, gas, and hopefully a new practice boat or two. Please bring your boat and costume if you like, make new friends, and help the OU sailing program.

Schedule- Registration- 8:00a.m.-11:00a.m.
Skippers Meeting- 11:00a.m.
First Shape- 12:00p.m.
Cookout- 6:00 p.m. or an hour after all boats are off the water

thanks, the main thing we are trying to do now is fundraising. So, if you know any businesses that would like to make a donation ask them and i can send you a NOR. We will pass out their flyers or hang a banner if they want.

I will ask a neighbor of mine, he has a sign making business, he might want to put up some flyers or something. He also sails so that helps.

From the intersection of Lake Hefner Parkway (See the red star) and the Northwest Expy
(which is south of the red star)

Travel NW on the Northwest Expy to Portland Ave (1st light after the Lake Hefner Parkway exit ramps)
Turn NORTH (RIGHT) on Portland Ave
Turn WEST (LEFT) on Lake Hefner Dr (if you enter Stars and Stripes Park, you’ve gone too far)
Turn NORTH (RIGHT) at the gravel road with the wooden sign which indicates the beach is “The Home of Hobie Fleet 131â€

We have had a few cat sailors commit, but you never know until the day of the event. I plan on racing my Hobie 17 or possibly a Hobie 16.
