I have all the deeply discounted pricing and information for the 16/14NA next year in Clear Lake Iowa.
Lakefront rooms at the Heartland Inn are around $70/night and should be reserved soon. We announced the host hotel today, and there are already reservations and there are only 30 rooms available (some with whirlpools in the room!!)
Contact 641-357-5123 Heartland Inn and use the code 'HobieCat' (duh) for the Sept 5,6,7 Hobie 14, Youth 16 and Womens 16 and Sept 8-12 for the 16 Open.
House or condo rental www.clearlakesummerrentals.com Dick Hayes 641-357-6123 (both phone numbers are very close) We've already reserved the 201 4th Ave S property for the RC group.
Contact me, Chris Wessels with any/all questions or help. We plan to have host families available for un accompanied minor sailors if need be.
Thanks

Jacuzzi Party in Don's room, BYOB and swim suits required

On a serious note: 1/3 of the rooms have been booked already ONE FULL YEAR BEFORE THE EVENT. I am not screwing around when I tell you to BOOK NOW!!!!
Just to give you an idea: We had the Area Champs here last weekend (Sept 15/16 and it was pretty cold on Sat, around 60 with 15-20 mph winds and 75 on Sunday with 10-12 winds) Camping is good, but it was 37 degrees on Sat night!! Friggin' cold!! The water was good though, not too cold at all. Plus, we had such a great Luau (watch next hotline for story) that we're doing another during the 16s.
Again, don't dilly dally. We're still a ways off on the website, so tell your friends too.

Just made my reservation.

Whirlpool overlooking the lake for $79.99 a night. We're in Kansas Toto :-)

(OK Iowa. That's close to Kansas right?)

I was out there on Sat the WHOLE TIME. And I was doing well in A fleet too (I sold my 20 main to a guy in HI to get a new one for NAs next year, and had to sail my 16). We ended up sucking on Sunday and got 6 of 12, but it was chilly for sure, in the 50-60s and 30s in the eve. Funny thing, it was 90 yesterday!
