Jerry Valeske bought the first Tiger in Division 4 in 2002. By 2005 there were two more on the line. But then it went back down to 2 in 2006. 2007 brought the addition of 2 more Tigers and the game was on!

In 2007 we had 3-5 Tigers at almost every points regatta. Up from the previous years high of 2 or 3. Lots of learning and communication kept the excitement growing

In 2007 we also entered in two F18 regattas that produced 5-7 mixed boats on the start. This was our strategy of finding interest outside of the Hobie community and show them how much fun the Hobie camp was having.

Well, word from the streets has it that at least 3-5 additional Tigers will be on the circuit for 2008. Realistically, we will expect 5-7 showing for all the Hobie Class events and 8-10 showing for the more well attended events.

Add the two new FX1's showing at all the events, and your looking at quite a few more spinnakers on the course for 2008.

The Hobie Tiger North American Championships will also be held in the Northwest in 2008. This may bring a few more off the fence come spring.

If you know of any used Tigers or FX1's out there, or one that's not being used; then contact me and I'm sure I'll find a buyer in this region.
