What seems to be the best combination camera for diving (to max 50-60 feet) and surface use? or is this a lost cause? Thanks.

Pentax Optio WP w underwater housing (W10 not as good?)

Olympus Stylus 720 SW w underwater housing (810 not as good?)

Many others discussed but do not meet criteria: digital camera itself waterproof, not just weatherprooof or water resistant, and a relatively inexpensive ($200 range) underwater housing available from the camera manufacturer (as opposed to $1,000 custom housings).

Other candidates?

Bought Olympus 720SW plus dive housing. Housing and spare battery coming in a week or so. Going to take camera on Newport / Catalina first ocean kayaking / diving trip this weekend. Will try to take a picture or two worth posting.

I found this to be an outstanding piece of equipment: Sealife Mini II. Waterproof to 130 feet deep, 3x digital zoom, 9 megapixel stills or movies (probably too much resolution for common use). Sells most places for well under $200.
