I am having real problems in finding an isurance company willing to insure a Trifoiler here in the UK.
Most insurance companies have a list of most of the production dinghies/sailing boats - if it is not on their list they will NOT insure. Also trimarans in general seem to be almost impossible to get quotes for here in the UK too.
I am assuming as most Trifoilers are in the USA that you guys can get insurance cover. Does anyone know if an American company would insure a Trifoiler in the UK (coastal waters use)?

No doubt you will get insurance from some dodgy company but as far as making a claim mmmmm i would not hold your breath.Try and get a company in the u.k to insure you, You might have to help them understand that the trifoiler is a production boat by well known boat makers i.e. Hobie

I tried every insurance company I could find in Australia for my TrailerTri 720 trailer sailer. Insurance companies don't like trimarans but no one could explain to me why. I ended up using a broker and got insurance with a company who had knocked me back when I went direct......
