I have a Trifoiler in the Austin area that I may be interested in selling. $9500. Hull #38. I've been communicating with Dan Kitterman and it needs about $1000 in upgrades to sail "safely". The biggest expense is a new rudder - $740. The rest are things like changing brass hooks to stainless, drilling out AL rivets and replacing with Stainless, etc. Other than the upgrades, the boat is in great shape and show little use. I bought it to sail on Lake Travis, but my F-27 unexpectedly needs some new parts. Can't afford to repair both. Also, the sails are the old style sail that look brand new. They are very desirable. They last longer than the new sails. Spend a little on a new rudder, but no need to buy new sails! Call me at 512-751-3483 if interested. |

I am going to order the new rudder and all of the parts to upgrade the Trifoiler next week. It will be off the market. I plan on playing with it for a while. |

If you have never sailed it, it would be a shame not to do so before you sell it. I can assure you it will be the most astonishing thing you will ever sail. |

That's why I am going to hang on to it for a while. I currently sail a Corsair F-27. I have hit 17.5 knots a few times (both offshore and on Lake Travis). Breaking 30 must be mind blowing! |

I have been on one in the San Francisco bay and we had the speedometer (which goes to 35 mph, correct?) pegged the entire time. One of the funnest sail I ever did, you should certainly take it out. Make sure you have plenty of wind though! I would love to buy one some day. Michael |
