Did anybody ever determine ( by GPS or other methods ) how fast ( max speed ) a Hobie Bravo is ? I consider to purchase one and am curious about the speed I can get. Tks Trifan |

I have clocked the speed of my Dad's Bravo with he and I aboard at 11mph max. This was in 10-15mph condiitons on a reach / broad reach with a total crew weight of 300lb. I did not get a chance to sail it solo with the GPS. |

That is a good speed. Would love to see what you get solo. |

We have gotten what feels like great speed with two up at 370lbs. Maybe now that we have one each I can find out how fast it can go. |

Got out late yestrday in NJ with winds in the puffs 30MPH or so and flew around the lake. I had to stick it into the wind to stay upright in the really big puffs, but on the reaches buried both hulls a few times and had the rudder humming. Although I did not have my GPS, I def. went faster than the 10.5kt I did another time out. |
