On my 2010 model I received a aluminum upper section of the mast. isn't it supposed to me non conductive or the com tip? Also I am docking my boat with the sail rolled up till I can get/build a low profile dock to pull her up on. Do y'all see any problems. There is a lot of ski boat wake and wind from thunderstorms. I've read your post about the mast support damage. I just want to sail not launch and relaunch... |

I just picked up my 2010 Bravo, and yes, the Comp tip is fiberglass. I suppose it wouldn't make much difference, as long as you aren't trailering and risking setting the mast near power lines? I keep my Bravo on a small boat lift; we too have big winds/wake; I also throw a strap over it and tie it down, just in case..... it sure seems narrow compared to the height of the mast! I had a storm flip my Hobie 16 over on top of our pontoon boat - THAT was a mess to untangle! |

I purchased the boat from a Hobie dealer in the state of Georgia last month. The upper section is black and hollow and feels and sounds aluminum. It's no big deal yet I wonder why. Hull number ends with a 10. |

Gracious, Fooled me. Yes is fiberglass. I expected an off white section as in the pictures. But looking inside with a flashlight I proved my error. Thanks for prompting. |
