Gracious... thanks for askin' I didn't think anyone cared. The purpose of the floating dock is that my slip is in a lake owned by the government (hydro-power) and on a "community dock" which I could not modify. I needed a larger platform for protection from boat wake. The "Bravo" was gettin' thrown about. So I built the small dock to pull her up on. It works great. The Lake covers 80,000 acres. Just outside of the cove pictured is a larger cove of about 300 acres where I sail. Just havin' fun |

Looks really good and it's an excellent idea to keep the Bravo on the water and ready to go at a moment's notice. Do you lash the boat to the dock when not in use? I can see wind knocking it over with the mast rigged while it sits on a floating dock. I used these plans to build a swim platform for the kids back in August...easy peasy...nice & easy...could easily be used for a Bravo. http://www.instructables.com/id/Floatin ... h-Barrels/ |

Yep it's got two trailer type web straps holding tight. And a wire rope for security. I found these plans on line also originally 8 X 16 foot I built it 6 X12 foot. It's supposed to be a "rowing dock" but floats higher than expected. Found the Hardware in Florida and a Float mfg. a couple of hours away, so I saved the shipping on the floats. Total cost ~$1200 With the boat weighing 180 lbs. She slides on and off rather well |

My boat's width increased. I noticed this after pulling her up on the trailer after sitting "Beached on the dock" for 4 months. |

Yes the fins are further apart than when new. This after leaving the boat with the mast in place on my dock (not recommended by Hobie). This was noticed after pulling her up on the trailer. I made the trailer myself it is a flat deck built on to a trailer I already had. Along the sides of the trailer deck I mounted a 2 by 4 to help keep the boat from sliding off. Originally had room to wiggle the boat now the keels are tight against the 2 by 4's. Went to measure and found the distance between center-lines of the keels to be 48 inches. And also wiggle room had returned presume the boat relaxed. |

I left my mast on from March until Nov this year, but was parked on grass. I guess if we were racing them that might be a issue with the bit wider at the bottom. I will have to measure mine. What is it supposed to be? |

I measured the keels on the boat here at about 41-41.5". Drain plugs are about 40" apart, center to center. |

Yikes! That's going to happen to mine, too. Mine sits on a boat lift - the keels rest on flattened bunk boards. Still beats dragging it up over a cement seawall, though. |
