Post subject:  What accessories come with the Bravo

I just bought a used 2008 Hobie Bravo. I'm wondering what I should make sure I get with the boat. Obviously there's the boat, rudder, sail, mast float etc. But is there a sail bag standard with that boat? Rudder bag? Anything else that I should know about? Or ask the current owner about?

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Same accessories have been offered for some time. The only "loose" accessory is the mast / sail bag. The rest are attached to the boat. Mast float, hiking straps with pads, righting line. There is no rudder bag offered.

Perfect. Thanks again Matt. That's what I wanted to know. The owner wasn't sure if it had a sail bag, at least I can tell them that she should have received that with the boat.

I picked up the boat. I've got a mystery accessory. I've got the sail bag, the mast float, and a Hobie Dry bag. There's one other nylon bag that I'm not sure about. It's black, just under 8 feet long, by about 10 inches wide. Has a handle, a drawstring closure, and a small interior pocket with a velcro closure. The previous owner never used it, and I can't figure out what it's for. It doesn't fit the rudder... just... no clue.

Anybody know?

Boom bag??

Seems too wide for the boom. The sail bag is narrower. Also, this boat didn't come with a boom (that I know of!) I'm going away for the weekend, but maybe I'll take a picture and put it up here to see if anyone knows.

I think this is for the sail storage with the battens out.

That could be what it is!

I don't think so. The bag is 93 inches long (7 feet, 9 inches) and 10 inches wide. So it wouldn't be long enough to hold a 19 foot mast in two pieces.

Here are two pictures. The second is of the pocket. The picture is taken from the outside, but that pocket is on the inside. It's not a huge problem if I don't know what it's for, but it is kind of strange that we can't figure it out.

It's the Sail Bag when storing without the battens. Make folds just smaller that the bag width.

You can store the reefing line in the little pocket.
