Looking for recommendation to fix small tears on my sail after a small accident. Looking at Incom RE3843 Sail patch Tape http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... SEeXx0gHK6 First time for me doing this fix so any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks |

Best to take it to the experts and get it fixed right. Sail repairs generally isn't that expensive. |

Yup, it's not as expensive as one might think. Take it to a sail loft and get a quote before spending the money on tape. |

Thanks for your input. The sail rubbed against a rough surface the holes are not that big but are many, 6 total, and about two to three inches apart the biggest one is one inch in diameter. I just want to get on the water before the season is over. I will take it to the sail shop for an estimate. |

For a quick fix try this stuff. http://www.tear-aid.com/index.htm This is found in most major outdoor retailers and outdoor shops. I've used it to literally seal a hole in the hull of my boat and sailed it for a week until i could get it properly fixed. Once this stuff is on, it's fixed. And it's cheap. $7 or $8 gets you a sheet of it and a few small patches. Worth a shot. It can be a permanent fix if you want it to be. |
