How big are the holes? What you have is good for small holes and tears.

Best to take it to the experts and get it fixed right. Sail repairs generally isn't that expensive.

Yup, it's not as expensive as one might think. Take it to a sail loft and get a quote before spending the money on tape.

Thanks for your input. The sail rubbed against a rough surface the holes are not that big but are many, 6 total, and about two to three inches apart the biggest one is one inch in diameter. I just want to get on the water before the season is over. I will take it to the sail shop for an estimate.

For a quick fix try this stuff.

http://www.tear-aid.com/index.htm

This is found in most major outdoor retailers and outdoor shops. I've used it to literally seal a hole in the hull of my boat and sailed it for a week until i could get it properly fixed. Once this stuff is on, it's fixed. And it's cheap. $7 or $8 gets you a sheet of it and a few small patches. Worth a shot. It can be a permanent fix if you want it to be.
