With its longer hulls (less resistance) and greater sail area, obvious that a Wave is faster than a Bravo... But, saw a Wave this past weekend, and thought I’d see if I could keep pace. Found that a Bravo with 86 sq ft of sail performs very well vs a Wave with 40% more sail area (95 main sail + 25 jib = 120 sq ft). Yes, I know, two aboard the Wave, but still... Dude - To be fair, you were sailing a lower course than he. Your broad reach bested his much higher course. That said, the Bravo does boogie nicely with minimal fuss! |

comment about broader to wind is correct but did you notice the wave had a jib (pointing ability and speed improvement). I'd say the Bravo did well. |
