I have just a couple of other questions. How is the elastic cord and clip to be used? I also want to know if the sail should be folded or rolled when storing in the sail bag? Matt if you read this, when I went to buy my bravo, the box that it came in had rubbed and messed up the Bravo and strips in the rear. The dealer opened another and that too had the same problem. I had been there for several hours and my crew was getting antsy so I took it as is. Any chance of getting replacement decals? |

Just ask your dealer and they will file a claim with our boat department for freight damage... not a warranty issue. The cord and hook are for when the mast is on the trailer. It allows you to tie it down. |

To place in the small bag you would "zig zag" (Flake) to fold down to size. |

I just bought a dealer "new" 07 and the split mast doesn't fit into the storage bag.  Is this item recalled? Haven't tried the full length cover as yet...

If you are talking about the smaller black bag, it is for your sail only. As for the longer green bag. No recall that I am aware of. |

My cover (brand new Bravo) fits, but it's a tight squeeze - really have to tug to get it to close over the end. Haven't had it get wet yet, but sounds like if it does it's all over. I was also wondering what the shock cord was for. I found an excellent use for it today when loading back onto the trailer. I keep the sail rolled on the mast and sail single-handed primarily - my main motivation for buying the Bravo. After lowering the mast, it was resting on the hull. I pulled the cover on one end, bunching it up as much as I could until the closed end was against the end of the mast. I then went to the uncovered end and easily pulled the cover over using the shock cord. I use separate bungees for mast tie down on my trailer setup, so I just roll the long shock around the cover and hook the end back to the loop. Sounds like Hobie ought to consider just making these covers 6-12" longer to begin with. |
