Just picked up a Hobie Bravo. I am looking for a nice little trailer that would make it very easy to tow, with the mast remaining assembled. My dealer didn't have anything with a mast support.

Could anyone send me a link or lead on something that might work?

Ideally, it might also have room for a two small kayaks. Thanks.

Hobie does offer a trailer part number 38650000, add a mast stand part number 38650011. These trailer do require assembly and freight to get to the dealer, not always the cheapest option in most areas, however if there is not a local trailer company then it will work! The trailers are on page 34 in the Hobie catalog. You may be able to save some money and put the trailer together yourself, its not hard just time consuming. Let me know if you have any more questions.

You might look for a local trailor company. It might be a little pricey but he could build exactly what you want.

My dealer adapted a jetski trailer for my Bravo by turning the support bed rails 90 degrees. I added some eye bolts to the sides of the trailer to make the hold down straps more secure. I ordered a mast stand from Hobie. The base of the mast stand is designed for a 2" trailer tongue but my trailer has a 3" tongue. I had a local welding shop weld a wider plate on the mast stand base to fit the 3" tongue. The rig works great, transporting and set up is a breeze. If you adapted a double jetski trailer, you would have plenty of room for a couple of kayaks.

I think the jetski idea is the way to go. I'll check it out. Thanks.

The Hobie dealer in Hayden ID (Miles Moore) has a source for Bravo trailers out of Spokane WA. The trailer is a perfect size for the bravo and has rubber vertical rollers (2/hull located inboard of each hull on the trailer crossbars) to keep the hulls positioned correctly in rubber skids. It does not however come with a mast stand, so you would still have to get one from Hobie. 8)

For those interested, I found an inexpensive solution.

I found a 12' jon boat and trailer for sale nearby. I told the seller, if someone wanted the boat, I'd take the trailer. Sure enough, he called, and I had a trailer for $150.

Did the usual work, to get it in shape. Used HD electrical strut to set up the rollers, bought some rollers off of ebay, added a mast support, and away we go.
