The weather has been terrible the past few weeks here in CT. I have been to a local lake and down to Long Island / Fisher Island sound. Had a great time. The boat handles like a dream. A south westerly wind kicked the wind up from an easy 10-12 to an 18 - 20. Had a ball. Where the boat really came through was heading back to the launch. The wind was blowing directly on to the launch with gusts as well. I reefed her in. Didn't have the boom on so I held the sail out with my free hand to keep a nice shape going down wind & when I was at the launch furled in and landed like I was in a 2 kt wind. When sailing my Dart 15 cat or Zuma I would have had to come in fast and the last moment snap her up into the wind. Which is Okay when the place isn't crowded (which it always is). I felt very much under control. I also had my kayak paddle strapped to the frame if needed (Thanks Bruce). Nice boat. Am very happy.
