Post subject:  Need catamaran skippering practice

Hey,
Dinghy sailor here and new to catamarans. Have a new Nacra 17 however the boat is in Florida currently. Looking for someone in the bay area who has a cat and likes to sail a lot, as I am trying to practice trapping and tacking/jibing in breeze. Would love to meet some local cat sailors. Any advice would be great.
Thanks, Courtney

PS I am small; 5'4"; 105lbs

Whoops, it looks like you feel between the cracks. Your request has come very near the end of the sailing season so there may not be many of the locals to help until next April.

You don't say where you live, so take your pick of contacting the three fleets nearest the Bay Area:
Fleet 20, which sails almost exclusively at Woodward Reservoir near Oakdale.
Fleet 281, which has fun sails at Tomales Bay and Lake Berryessa. Try contacting John at Wind Toys in Santa Rosa.
Fleet 240 in Santa Cruz. Try contacting Mikey at Surf City Catamarans in Santa Cruz.
